Conveyancing quotes can be very expensive. It is for this reason, that it is a good idea to get an idea of all of the conveyancing quotes involved before instructing a property solicitor or licensed conveyancer.

Many property solicitors will be able to provide you with full details of their conveyancing fees either over the phone, online, vie email or by the old fashioned mathod of post.

However, some proeprty solicitors do not clarify their conveyancing quotes in full and can often have hidden fees, which only become apparent at the end of the transaction when it is too late as they have already carried out the work for you. for this reason, it is very important to ensure you get clarication of the fees in writing along with a copy of the firms terms and coditions or 'small print'. The small print is very important as it will state what additional fees may be charged and allows you to ask questions as to how these would apply before you instruct a firm to carry out your conveyancing.

Remember, whilst you may appear to be picky, property solicitors can be expensive enough without hidden fees you are not expensive, so if in doubt ask for clarifcation. If you are not happy then find another firm you are happy with.
